Diggin' in at Dig Inn
This month, I traveled to New York with my cross country team for the Manhattan Invitational and although the main purpose of the trip was to race in a different environment, I came to New York with high food-expectations. I’m happy to say that the restaurants I visited did not let me down! My aunt who is very knowledgeable of the various New York food finds referred me to Dig Inn, which is nestled in bustling Midtown West. The counter-service restaurant provided the ideal, quick meal for a set of tired travelers. The Dig Inn employees guided us through the process of creating a bowl with the bases, market sides, proteins, and sauces of your choice. In the line, I was overwhelmed by all the fresh vegetables marinated with uniquely flavored sauces such as the brussel sprouts flavored with sweet chili oil and the cauliflower exploding with maple syrup. At the end of the line, my colorful bowl was filled with flavorful farra, juicy cauliflower, spicy brussell sprouts, and savory tofu all topped with a garlic aioli. After devouring the meal, I was content and satisfied. For any travelers or locals of Midtown West looking for quick grub, I highly recommend checking out Dig Inn, a restaurant that produces farm to fresh meals that do not disappoint.
